When the first Shrimp Shack opened in December 1998 in Cape Coral, FL, it was primarily used as a test kitchen. With only 25 seats and a 10-ft by 15-ft kitchen, Kathy Harshman, Charlotte Fennell and Suzanne Grady set out to have the best seafood restaurant around. With the cheery colors, great service and exceptional food, Shrimp Shack was a hit. Lines started forming daily for lunch and dinner and soon Shrimp Shack became an eating destination for people all over Lee County.
The reason for Shrimp Shack's impressive success is the firm commitment to quality and exceptional service that Kathy, Charlotte and Suzanne made right from the start. With their combined experience of more than 80 years in the restaurant industry, they know that customers want quality food and great service. With hands on ownership and the belief of working side by side with their employees, the quality in both food and employees is evident.
